Ms. Uhl, who is "of Counsel" to the firm, has extensive experience in medical malpractice litigation. She specializes in the defense of physicians, hospitals, nurses, and other health care providers and organizations in medical malpractice actions pending in Maryland and the District of Columbia. Ms. Uhl, who attended nursing school and practiced as a nurse before attending law school, has in-depth knowledge of the medicine that is at issue in these cases. She has experience with all phases of fact and expert discovery, motions practice, defending and deposing witnesses, and bench and jury trials with a special emphasis on the expert witness discovery.
Ms. Uhl obtained her Bachelor of Science in nursing at the University of Maryland School of Nursing and worked as a clinical nurse in oncology, medical surgery, cardiothoracic surgery, and intensive care at various hospitals in Maryland. She went on to attend law school at the University of Maryland School of Law, graduating in 1991.
