Ms. Simon is an associate with the Firm. Her practice focuses on defending corporations, healthcare providers, and other individuals in complex litigation claims in the areas of toxic tort, products liability, medical negligence, and general insurance defense. Prior to joining Wharton Levin Ehrmantraut & Klein, Ms. Simon worked as a staff attorney for the Appellate Court of Maryland, conducting research on procedural and substantive issues of law and preparing recommendations to the Court for the disposition and efficient completion of cases. Ms. Simon also has a significant background as a practicing attorney in civil litigation, having represented numerous plaintiffs in personal injury and other civil matters throughout the State of Maryland. In her capacity as a litigator, Ms. Simon has engaged in all phases of fact and expert discovery, motions practice, defending and deposing expert witnesses, and trials before the Maryland district and circuit courts. Ms. Simon received her B.A. from Wake Forest University in 2008. In 2011, Ms. Simon received her J.D. from Washington University in St. Louis School of Law where she was the managing editor of the Jurisprudence Review.
